Summer Updates
Reflections on the Summer |
|
|
My favorite memories from the summer were with the children, getting to know them and teaching them. Also teaching at my church was fun! My favorite part of leading 5-Day Club® was the missionary story. The kids were engaged, so it made me happy. My faith grew because when I didn’t feel like it, God would help me realize that the kids would need help to have a relationship with God, and I thank God very much for giving me strength to do so.

I want to use my newly developed skills for the greater good, helping kids behave at my church, and teaching Sunday school classes when needed (I did actually teach a class!) I want to be of help to people with their faith if they want someone to talk to. I also hope to use my skills to be a great example for kids so they will also find their passion for what God wants them to do.
CYIA |

Joel's experience at CYIA: "I was nervous about if I would make any friends and do good learning. Throughout the week, I realized I could do good and had made friends too. I was surprised to meet all the different people from different places. Overall, I liked the Mary Slessor missionary story and the demo days on how to teach. I would tell kids considering coming to CYIA not to worry because I also went through what they did, and I feel ready to be able to teach the kids in the ministry over the summer."

God has big plans for me this summer! I am going to be a missionary assistant with Child Evangelism Fellowship® (CEF®). During the months of June and July I will be assisting 5-Day Clubs - similar to Vacation Bible School - reaching children throughout Central Indiana. Our goal is to present the Gospel to every child in Central Indiana. I will be receiving training for this ministry through Christian Youth in Action, a training and discipleship program run by CEF.
I am praying for a team of supporters who will pray and give financial assistance. The entire ministry of CEF relies on donors to fund the work. Would you prayerfully consider being a part of my support team? My goal is to raise $550 this month. To give, click on the link below. On the secure online donation page, select CYIA: SM4. Thank you! |
"I want to do CYIA to teach younger kids about Jesus, and I want to teach the little kids to spread the word of God making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I also want to have a better relationship with others and know what God wants me to do." |
