It all Started with Christian Youth in Action (CYIA)
I am a recent graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Interior Design. I recently moved back to Indianapolis from Bloomington this past July.
My involvement with CEF® started 7 years ago through CYIA. I was a summer missionary for three summers and was taught how to properly teach Bible lessons, missionary stories, memory verses, and more. My role as a summer missionary was to let God use me as a vessel to teach children about Him and guide them towards a profession of faith if it was God’s will.
Currently I am working with the Central Indiana Chapter of CEF as the ministry coordinator for Hancock County and east side of Marian County. My role as the ministry coordinator is to oversee after-school Good News Club® (GNC™) and to establish new ones throughout my assigned areas. This includes planning, training, and supervision of volunteers and also teaching children the gospel.
In October, I will be traveling to CEF’s headquarters in Missouri to attend Children’s Ministries Institute® for training. I will be taking a course called Ministry Strategy and Development to strengthen my abilities as the ministry coordinator.
I want to thank you all in advance for the support and prayer you give me. I would like to ask you all to keep CEFand myself in prayer, specifically praying for:
God to continue opening up schools for GNCs and
God to help me stay focused and disciplined with my assignments during my time at Children’s Ministries Institute for training.
